Information (Maritess L. Cuenco)

Hello. I’m Teszya. I always believe in saying that, “You cannot give what you do not have.” so as a teacher for almost 6 years, I learned that imparting knowledge to someone is not that easy but very fulfilling. Teaching was my first love that’s why I took up Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education major in English and in God’s grace, I am now a Licensed Professional Teacher. There are three things I’m passionate about in life–teaching, singing and acting in theater activities.

I have more than 6 year of experience as an ESL teacher, teaching Conversational English to Japanese, Chinese and Korean students.

I’m a born optimistic – I love the intellectual challenge of figuring out how to know the interest and needs of my students and catch their attention in case that they not attentive. Part of this is being able to enthusiastically communicate with them to have an effective and productive class.

With my wide experience as a high school and ESL teacher, I’ve learned how to become versatile in my teaching approach. I make sure that every lesson is vibrant, practical and tailor-fit to the background and needs of my students. I let them think of me as a partner and friend walking right next to them in achieving their English communication goals.
